We’ve lost another respected medical authority Most Americans are familiar with the American Medical Association (AMA) and holds it in high esteem. I’ve written to them during the Trump administration to request their attention to Dr. Scott Atlas and his role as advisor to President Trump. He appeared to be the lead physician at that time on the Covid-19 task force. Most of us are aware that Dr. Atlas is a radiologist. He has no specialized training or experience in public health, infectious disease nor epidemiology. It appears, however, that he was the leading physician in determining the path of America’s response to the pandemic.

Let me mention that Japan, which has a population size relatively closer to the USA compared with Sweden, also has far better health outcomes than the USA regarding Covid. Japan does allow for doctors to treat Covid patients with ivermectin. That said, I am sadly in full agreement with your general claims.
