I applaud an "An Open Letter To Liberal Democrats" And Encourage Everyone To Read It.

This week brought two very important messages from two prominent people who have been outspoken critics of our public health policies regarding Covid-19. Both have chosen to focus on the science, but the first one I’ll be sharing also takes a look at the philosophy of democratic values and how much has shifted since the pandemic. Those who have been readers of my substack know that my position is that Covid-19 should never have become a political issue. This has been a two and half year health crisis that needed to be solely focused on the well-being of every American, with a reliance on the best measures that science has to offer. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the agenda that we’ve been forced to rely upon.

I’d like to begin with an Open Letter To Liberal Democrats that was authored by Robert Kennedy Jr. As an attorney, he sets a path of examination, starting with the history and philosophy of democratic beliefs and moves into the science which is complete with appropriate links to the research and international health data.

I am an FDR/Kennedy liberal, but my choice to openly question government policies for managing the pandemic—under both Presidents Biden and Trump—has made me a pariah, primarily in liberal circles. Many traditional liberals—reacting to the orchestrated fear and propaganda—have embraced “Lockdown Liberalism,” an ideology that departs dramatically from the tenets of traditional liberalism. Like Galileo’s colleagues, so many of today’s “Lockdown Liberals” refuse to read or debate the science that they believe supports the government’s COVID countermeasures. Instead, they place their faith in the official orthodoxies of famously corrupt pharmaceutical companies and their notoriously captive federal agencies and expect others to do the same. This blind obedience is itself a kind of novel virus that now infects the entire upper deck of the Democratic Party. The core of this ideology is a cult-like fealty to COVID-19 countermeasures that are, in fact, scientifically indefensible. By necessity then, the acolytes of this theology must be ferociously hostile toward debate that might expose errors in government dogma and must, like the Roman Inquisition that extracted Galileo’s recantation under threat of burning at the stake, mercilessly suppress every utterance of heresy or dissent. Moreover, Lockdown Liberalism’s enthusiastic embrace of censorship—once anathema to liberals—has expanded into a repudiation of almost all the precepts of traditional FDR/Kennedy liberalism. This letter is a challenge to my fellow liberals to reexamine the scientific assertions upon which rest the oppressive policies that have savaged the presumptions of classical liberalism and the United States Constitution. It is past time that our nation had an open conversation about the strategies supposedly enacted for ending the pandemic, and the best measures for avoiding future crises.

Kennedy goes on to examine the disturbing shift that has occurred within the Democratic party.

The word “liberal” derives from the Latin liber, which the Etymology Dictionary renders as “freedom from restraint in speech or action” and “freedom from bigotry.” Conventional FDR/JFK liberalism prided itself on its open-minded tolerance of contrary opinion, its implacable protectiveness of the right to dissent, its embrace of new ideas, and its fearless love for contention and disputation. Democrats were once the party of intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and faith in scientific and liberal empiricism. Liberalism’s foundational assumption, after all, is that freedom of speech and expression are essential to a functioning democracy; the free flow of information yields governing policies that have been annealed in the cauldron of fierce, open debate before triumphing on the battlefield of ideas. We Democrats once took pride in ourselves as the party that understood how to read science critically. We confronted—and mercilessly deconstructed—the fatally flawed faux-science contrived by the carbon industry’s PhD biostitutes to support climate change denialism. We also exercised healthy skepticism toward the corrupt drug companies that brought us the opioid crisis and that have paid $86 billion in criminal and civil penalties for a wide assortment of frauds and other crimes since 2000. We were disgusted by the phenomenon of “agency capture” and felt a deep revulsion for Pharma’s pervasive control of Congress, the media, and the scientific journals. How is it, then, that today’s Democrats become angry at the mere suggestion that the prevailing COVID drug and vaccine narrative may be heavily manipulated through orchestrated propaganda by a Pharma cartel with billions at stake in promoting COVID countermeasures?

Let’s not forget the conclusions by the editors in chief of the two leading peer reviewed journals:

Dr. Marcia Angell, Harvard physician and editor in chief of the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) said:“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor.” Dr. Angell went on to author a stunning book where she exposed the deceit, conflicts of interest and fraud that is fundamental in the relationship between Big Pharma and our government agencies, The Truth About The Drug Companies. How They Deceive Us And What To Do About it. I would encourage everyone to read it but be forewarned as it will be difficult to sleep once you’ve heard the details of what she’s reporting.

Dr. Relman, another former editor in chief of the NEJM said this in 2002 - “The medical profession is being bought by the pharmaceutical industry, not only in terms of the practice of medicine, but also in terms of teaching and research. The academic institutions of this country are allowing themselves to be the paid agents of the pharmaceutical industry. I think it’s disgraceful.”

Richard Horton, editor in chief of the Lancet said: “The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness” (2).  Horton R. Offline: What is medicine’s 5 sigma? [Last accessed August 5, 2015]. www.thelancet.com. He seems to have forgotten this earlier statement as he is responsible for preventing evidence based research on ivermectin from being published in the Lancet. That makes him responsible for countless needless deaths around the world that could have been prevented if he would have allowed multiple, peer reviewed research to have been published.

Can it be any clearer than that? We must accept the reality that evidence based medicine (EBM) has been corrupted by the pharmaceutical industry and the failure of our public health agencies to do what they’ve been installed to do. Their job was to be the watchdogs of industry and in this case, the pharmaceutical industry. They were to review and evaluate the research conducted by the pharmaceutical companies, which for the most part, they funded. According to the editors in chief of the most prestigious medical journals, our public health agencies, the CDC, the FDA and the NIH, have instead been corrupted by profound conflicts of interest.

Moving into the science, Kennedy goes on to explore 13 pertinent questions and topics which he answers in great detail in his letter:

Kennedy’s conclusions demand that we reconsider an important shift in how this horrible reality, that we’ve been forced to endure, can get resolved successfully. It won’t be through changing who’s in power in the next election.

Orchestrated fear, systematic censorship, and fierce tribalism have pushed our country into a political polarization more perilous than at any time since the American Civil War. If we are to find a better future—if we are to imprint this rising dissident movement with liberalism’s traditional idealism and avoid its capture by corporate tyrants—liberals need to start talking to people with whom they otherwise disagree.

The next important message come from Dr. Robert Malone. As the original inventor and patent holder of the mRNA technology, Malone has some critical information about our immune system and the consequences of vaccination with experimental gene therapy interventions that everyone needs to hear. He reminds us that the very definition of a vaccine had to be changed in order to call the Covid injections a vaccine. He also explains that the original documents provided by Moderna specifically define these injections as “gene therapy”, which has different and more thorough standards or check lists which must be examined before they can be approved for use on human beings. Malone provides important information about the consequences of mass vaccination in our country and the world. Malone’s evidence is based exclusively on science and what information has been accumulated by international public health authorities and scientists. As we’ve come to understand, transparent health statistics have been made available to the general public by the vast majority of countries around the world. Our public health data has been compromised by many factors. For example, are you aware that if a person is vaccinated today for the first time and then they have a fatal adverse reaction to the vaccine which causes them to die the day of or the day after their injection, their death is counted as them being unvaccinated. If they die two days after the injection, or three days after, up to 14 days after, their death report lists them as unvaccinated. The majority of deaths from vaccines, admittedly representing a small percentage of those vaccinated, would be counted as unvaccinated if it occurred less than 14 days from injection. This effectively alters the record of vaccine injuries. Given that hundreds of millions of Americans have been vaccinated, that small percentage grows to tens of thousands of Americans dying from adverse effects of the vaccine which never gets reported. The history of vaccines tells us that if 50 patients die from a vaccination, that vaccine is immediately stopped. Let’s not forget about serious adverse effects that cause long standing or permanent disability. Most other countries provide data on deaths, hospitalization and adverse reactions based on vaccination status, typically noting unvaccinated, one injection, two injections, three injections and four. That allows one to easily see the evidence of the harm done based on the number of injections one has received. It’s extremely frightening to observe the dramatic increase in hospitalization and death as a function of the number of injections received. When we view the data from the most heavily vaccinated and boosted countries, we see an increase in hospitalization and death as a function of the number of injections one has received. Malone does an excellent job of explaining why that may be happening and his conclusions need to be understood by each and every person around the globe. An uninformed, misinformed or disinformed public has allowed this catastrophe to continue unabated. Although the public has been compromised by their lack of accurate knowledge about the science, it appears that some progress has in fact been made. Despite the reality that today’s Omicron variants 4/5 have produced the most Covid infections to date in most regions around the world, governments in the U.S. and around the world have essentially dropped vaccine mandates and other containment measures that have proven to be inadequate or ineffective in containing this virus. I find it fascinating that the public quietly accepts this without actually questioning why are we dropping the very measures that we were told were necessary to keep us safe when Covid is spiking. Mainstream media doesn’t say a peep. That’s in fact one of the problems in convincing democrats that something doesn’t smell right. The argument goes something like this. If there was truth to the scientific corruption that the republicans are reporting, then that would be the biggest scandal of our lifetime. We all know that scandal sells. Why wouldn’t the media be drooling over this fact if it was true? Unfortunately the truth isn’t very sexy. Regulatory capture of our mainstream media isn’t very sexy. Next time you’re watching CNN or MSNBC, note who the sponsors are. Do you see any Pharma advertisements? You’re damn straight you do. One after the other in fact. Do you think it’s possible to expose or challenge the very people who are paying the bills? Need I say more? The other issue relates to the Trusted New Initiative which has been adopted by most of mainstream media, providing a reasonable cover for their negligence. I’ve written about this in prior substack articles.

Despite my profound respect for Dr. Malone’s scientific integrity and scientific conclusions, I feel compelled to point out that I strongly disagree with Dr. Malones conclusions about how to fix our public health system that is rife with conflicts of interest. Dr. Malone believes that the only way out of this nightmare is a political one which requires us to elect republican leadership to Congress. I do not see evidence to support the notion that giving the republican party the majority in the House and Senate would have any impact on our public health agencies. As we know, it was the republicans who were in power during the creation and roll-out of the public health strategy, Operation Warp Speed, during the Trump Administration. They approved the Covid injections despite the Pfizer clinical trials which clearly exposed serious concerns regarding vaccine safety and efficacy, as well as the accuracy and ethical misconduct of the clinical trials themselves. You’ve likely not even heard about the whistleblower who exposed the negligence and corruption of the Pfizer clinical trial data. Once again, thank you mainstream media for your silence on this critical information. Here’s another tidbit that is literally unbelievable. The whistleblower hired an attorney to sue Pfizer who charged them with fraud. I suggest, if you’re not sitting down while you read this next sentence, that you do so because it will surly knock your legs out from under you. Pfizer attorney’s requested a motion to dismiss the lawsuit because they said that it couldn’t really be considered fraud because the FDA was aware of the manipulated data. You can’t make this stuff up! I’d love to be a fly on the wall when the FDA, CDC and NIH officials learned that Pfizer threw them under the bus in the hopes of protecting themselves against litigation. Might that be one of the reasons why Dr. Fauci decided it was time to consider his retirement?

Isn’t anyone concerned that our public health agency tried to legally prevent the clinical trial data from being released to the public for 55 years? Silence from mainstream media. Pfizer then took up the legal charge and requested 75 years before the data would be released. If the trial data was legitimate, wouldn’t the release of the clinical trial data be eagerly released to challenge those who have questioned their integrity and reassure those voicing concerns? Fortunately an ethical and honest judge refused these outrageous requests and instead allowed 8 months for the full data dump to occur, with timely monthly releases during that time. Did you hear anything about this from your favorite news station? Yes, that’s a rhetorical question as we all know the answer is NO. Apparently they didn’t believe the public had a right to know about any of this information. What do you think?

I know that life is hard. I know that your time is precious and limited. I’m urging you, however, to take the time to read the open letter and watch the video from these important messages that I’ve noted today. We each have an obligation to understand the truth of what has been happening since the beginning of Covid-19. I know it’s scary to question what you’ve been told by authorities that you’ve trusted. I know it’s scary to consider the reality of what Dr Malone and other seasoned scientists, researchers and virologists have been saying and the conclusions they’ve been making. Our government has actually weaponized fear to the point of paralyzing us from investigating the science and taking action. Each and every point made by Malone and Kennedy can be verified by the links provided. If you know any liberal democrats, encourage them to review this as well.

People often tell me that there’s very little that any one person can do to actually change the big picture here. I believe that if you’re informed, you have the potential to enlighten one person by sharing the science. That person can then enlighten one other person as well and so on. Silence will never impact change. If the last two and half years has taught us anything, it’s that you can’t simply sit back and blindly trust those in power. We were told the vaccines were “safe and effective”. We were told that if we got vaccinated, we wouldn’t get sick nor would we be able to infect our loved ones and neighbors. Our government was set up to have checks and balances. Some of those checks, like insuring a free press, has failed miserably during Covid-19, as they have chosen to be the mouthpiece of our captured public health agencies and the pharmaceutical companies. Their critical job of being true investigative journalists, whom we relied on to call out the widespread corruption that we’ve been victimized by, has been silenced by their financial reliance upon their very employers. That leaves us in the unfortunate position of needing to confirm the facts for ourselves. Google and other social media platforms don’t make that easy as they have deplatformed and censored any medical or scientific authority who provides an explanation which is incompatible with, or simply questions the captured public health narrative. We have to accept the reality that we’re living in a time when a Senate testimony is censored by YouTube and no one does anything to prevent that.

Let’s not forget about free speech. If a senate testimony is allowed to be censored, how can we continue to believe that we’re living in a country that embraces free speech? If mainstream media has failed to investigate scientific inquiry that does not support the public health agenda, how can we continue to believe that we have freedom of the press? I don’t think we can afford to live in that illusion any longer. Do you?
