SECRETARY KENNEDY — WE NEED TO TALK
I applaud all the early efforts you’ve initiated and supported:
Identifying harmful food additives for removal from our food supply.
Cleaning up baby formula to remove toxins such as heavy metal and added sugars.
Removing sugar and ultra-processed foods from the SNAP program.
Challenging geo engineering, in a attempt to control the weather.
The removal of fluoride from our drinking water. These are critical interventions that have been ignored by previous Secretaries of HHS.
We often hear about the public’s loss of confidence in our federal health agencies. These failures — the ones you’re now trying to correct — are exactly why Americans no longer trust their government to protect the food we eat, the water we drink and fish in, or the air we breathe. Implementing positive change is essential, but I don’t believe it alone will restore that lost trust.
Mainstream media (MSM) continues to misrepresent many of the critical issues you’re addressing, leaving the public confused and uncertain about your intentions. Let’s look at a few examples that I believe must be addressed directly:
MSM recently reported that two children in Texas died from measles. Dr. Pierre Kory, with the consent of the children’s parents, reviewed the medical records of their child and concluded that their deaths were due to medical errors — not measles itself. As you know, physician/medical error is the third leading cause of death in America. Yet, I have not heard you speak publicly or offer clarity on this reality. That silence allows misinformation to persist.
There is another issue that I feel the need to make you aware of. Periodically, you have posted statements on X (formerly Twitter) to inform the public about the issues you’re tackling. But the truth is, many Americans — especially those who most need to hear from you — don’t use that platform. If you only spoke on Fox News, it would also limit your reach. As Secretary of HHS, you have the power to call national press conferences that would be carried across all media. That would hopefully ensure your message gets heard widely and clearly. Until the public hears your words directly, they will remain vulnerable to MSM spin and misdirection. Your recent press conference about autism however did not seem to get the MSM air time that I had imagined.
I would strongly encourage you to consider hosting a regular fireside chat — in the tradition of President Roosevelt — broadcast across ALL platforms. The American public deserves to hear directly from their Secretary of Health and Human Services, unfiltered by MSM bias. Until that happens, this country will remain divided and suspicious of its own institutions.
An example of what is currently being corrupted is the concept of “fast tracking” designations for drug approvals. MSM presents this information to the naive public, making it appear that the FDA is doing something special for the drug companies because they support the mRNA vaccines. According to Dr. Nass, the “majority of drugs and vaccines reviewed by FDA have received a fast track designation.” That is due to the payment of certain fees for such services. “The designation does not mean the drug or vaccine will be approved. It means the company will get an answer in a short time. FDA is supposed to spend the fees it gets providing more reviewers to get the job done fast.” It would be extremely helpful to explain that to the public so that those who trusted you and supported you and even voted for Trump because of you, can have that accurate information. Without such transparency, they are left feeling confused and betrayed by your position on a variety of topics that are being misrepresented.
Here’s another proposal I'd like you to consider. What if any network disseminating medical information were required to fact-check with HHS first? We’ve seen, over recent years, the corruption of “fact checking” organizations and can no longer hold them in high regard. If MSM platforms fail to get confirmation on their medical/scientific data, and knowingly spread misinformation, there should be consequences — especially since they are using public airwaves to do so. Accountability must be part of rebuilding trust.
To truly move forward, we need to understand how and why our federal regulatory agencies failed so profoundly. Over the past decade, the health of the American people has dramatically declined into the chronic disease epidemic that is crippling our country.. During that time, every HHS Secretary and the heads of the FDA, CDC, and NIH failed to protect the public. We need to hear from them. Why did they remain silent? What attempts did they make to bring the truth to the public’s attention? Why did those efforts fail? What should the consequences be for those failures?
I believe that until people are held accountable, trust cannot be restored. Transparency is essential, but not sufficient.
As an attorney, you understand the importance of accountability. In my opinion, the failures we’ve endured amount to crimes against humanity. That’s a strong statement — but I believe it’s accurate. Our life expectancy is declining. Health care costs continue to soar. And despite all of this, we remain the sickest population among developed nations and we pay the most for our disease care.
I am heartened that, thus far, Attorneys General in seven states have submitted criminal referrals against public health leaders for their actions during the pandemic. That’s a start.
But we still need you — your voice, your courage, and your unwavering transparency — to lead the way forward. You’re off to a great start and I look forward to so many new ideas you will champion to MAHA.
Michelle. This is a great post. Thank you for your clear elucidation of these important issues of which I hope Secretary Kennedy will take notice. One issue, however, that I have some concern about. Your suggestion that MSM must go through HHS fact-checking before airing their views, to me, smacks of too much government regulation. I’m my opinion, it is a slippery slope, a little reminiscent of “Newspeak” from Orwell’s 1984 or, in this case, we might call it “News Speak”. As Justice Brandeis said, "If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence."
Reposting on his X.
