I just received notice from Substack that my subscribers may have received multiple emails with my post.
“We have found and fixed two separate technical issues, one on April 8 and another on April 9, that resulted in some posts being sent twice to subscribers. We truly apologize for any frustration this situation has caused. We will be conducting an extensive investigation over the coming week to make sure that this does not happen again. Thanks for understanding and again, we are sorry.”
I know how frustrating it is to receive multiple, unnecessary emails. I regret any inconvenience this has caused.
I woke up to a foot of snow and NO power this morning. Hood River celebrated its annual Blossom Festival this weekend. The orchards in the Hood River valley were ripe with gorgeous blossoms blanketing the fields. Fortunately this spring snow storm waited until today to dump a serious amount of snow over the valley. I had planned to spend the day completing my weekly tuesday post but I’m reluctant to use my phone as a hotspot for too long. I have no way to charge my phone and feel it’s important to keep it charged in case of an emergency. I hope you are all toasty warm in your homes and that electricity is flowing.
Not Fair ! i didnt get any additional emails either...
But i've previously seen copies of the standardised "We Care - and We Know You'll Be Understanding" letter that Substack sent you. Computer generated ?
I recently learned that Theodore Kaczinzky** has two more books in print. I'll bet he has advice on what to do to senders of computer generated "I'm Sorry !" letters...
** aka The Unabomber.
No worries nor any inconvenience here on my end. I didn't receive any additional emails.
Snow! And no power! Sheesh! Hang in there.
